Job Description

Salary: $120,000 - 180,000 per year Requirements:

  • We require a bachelors degree and 6 years of experience in application development, application analysis, or systems engineering, or a high school diploma/GED with 10 years of relevant experience.
  • We prefer at least 2 years of technical leadership experience.
  • We value an agile mindset and payment technology experience, especially in faster payments and trade finance.
  • We look for strong banking and payments industry knowledge, with experience delivering large modernization or transformation initiatives.
  • We need someone who can influence architecture and design decisions.
  • We expect the ability to analyze and resolve production issues effectively.
  • We value outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with TDD and CI/CD delivery is preferred.
  • Experience working with COTS and SaaS solutions is preferred.
  • Experience with on-premises distributed systems and cloud technologies, with AWS as a plus, is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, JavaScript frameworks, RESTful web services, web applications, JSM, and transactional databases, including SQL and NoSQL, is preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise integration services and solutions is preferred.
  • Experience and exposure to API gateways is preferred.
  • Experience building cloud-enabled microservices and REST APIs is preferred.
  • Implementation experience with SaaS and PaaS solutions is preferred.
  • Experience with regulatory guidelines such as FFIEC and FDIC governing the financial industry is preferred.
  • Experience building and maintaining large software platforms and client and employee enablement initiatives is preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • We lead and coordinate a cross-functional team of technical resources, including developers, analysts, QA testers, contractors, and strategic vendor partners.
  • We provide direction and oversight for IT projects and products, assign tasks, manage schedules and releases, and communicate progress and outcomes to the right stakeholders.
  • We establish and track performance measures to support delivery results.
  • We set expectations, refine policies, standards, procedures, and operational efficiencies, and manage staff performance, training, and evaluations.
  • We support prioritization, resource allocation, budget forecasting, capital planning, and invoicing to help the department meet business goals.
  • We direct programming, business analysis, and testing activities, including scope definition, time and cost estimates, and impact assessment for user requests.
  • We support system modifications within the existing architecture and contribute to architectural changes when needed.
  • We help shape business and technology roadmaps, including priorities and cross-team impacts.
  • We serve as a technical expert and strategic advisor to senior leadership, associates, and business units.
  • We ensure team activities follow configuration management, change control, and security standards.
  • We participate in business meetings and special projects to provide insight into end-user needs.
  • We stay current on industry trends and hold vendors accountable for system updates and maintenance.
